Dr. Lindsay Rutherford is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon bringing exceptional depth of training to Greenwich Oral Surgery. She earned her DMD from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine and her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, completing a rigorous 6-year residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital — Columbia University Irving Medical Center. During her final year, she served as chief resident and was selected for the prestigious Osteoscience Foundation Observership award, providing 1-to-1 mentorship with a leading implant surgeon.
Prior to medicine, Dr. Rutherford earned a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in civil engineering from UC Davis, then served two years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Panama — developing fluency in Spanish and a deep commitment to compassionate, culturally sensitive care. Her clinical focus includes dental implant surgery, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, orthognathic surgery, and oral pathology.
